This science-related field trip will explore the history of the mining industry in Wisconsin, as well as what kind of gems and minerals we can find in our state. Students will be instructed on the basics of gem and mineral identification. Each student will get a gem mining bag that they will get to sift and explore to uncover what is inside. This is ideal for first grade through 5th grade students.
